Amanda Vieira was born in Trinidad & Tobago and came to Miami as an infant. She graduated from John A. Ferguson High School in 2008 with an International Baccalaureate Diploma. While at John A. Ferguson she competed in Track and Field and held the school record for the 300-m hurdles. Presently, she is pursuing a degree in Dietetics and Nutrition at Florida International University and hopes to incorporate it with her love of dance.

She began dancing at the age of 7 and is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, acro, contemporary and lyrical and is an alumni of Focal Point Dance Studios. She has won many dance awards and scholarships over the years as a competition dancer including the 2007 Miss Starpower, Regional Dancer of the Year and the National Grand Scholarship winner at Hollywood Vibe, NYCDA Senior Outstanding Dancer runner up, JUMP the Alternative Senior Jump VIP & many others.

She teaches ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz, and contemporary and has choreographed several dance pieces. She recently performed in Motions, FIU's farewell dance performance & is also currently an FIU Dazzler!
